My hosting provider does not support TTF on a server basis. So is it feasible to install TTF within my shared domain? If so, where do I start?

Switch the hoster. 
Because you can't install the TTF Support. Except if you have root authorizations.

Die deutsche Sprache ist Freeware, du kannst sie benutzen, ohne dafür zu bezahlen. Sie ist aber nicht Open Source, also darfst du sie nicht verändern, wie es dir gerade passt.
